Jefferson Senior

In October we met Addison in Jefferson for the first part of her Road Trip senior portrait session. It was a beautiful day and we had a beautiful subject to photograph. Addison’s sweet personality and gorgeous blue eyes totally light up the town. The session started out exploring a few places in downtown Jefferson.  After that we went across town to the high school to finish her session on campus. Years ago Addison came to our studio when she was just little girl, very little. We have watched her grow into a beautiful young lady. A really funny coincidence happened when our oldest daughter was in college in Athens, she babysat for Addison on many occasions and got to know her great family.  We were so honored to spend this special time with Addison and see just how she has gown into an amazingly well rounded person.

When choosing a session Addison wanted it to have something that had a special look and feel, along with a special meaning to her. Jefferson was the natural choice for the location. If you could choose anywhere for your senior portraits to be done where would you choose? Our Road Trip session was designed just for this.

Are you an upcoming senior in the class of 2025? If so now is the time to start planning. The summer of 2024 is already going to be our busiest on record. We are now taking a limited number of appointments for the fall of 2024. We would love to talk to you and plan the perfect session for you! Give us a call and let’s talk about some things to make your senior portraits something special. Great senior portraits and a fun memorable session are what we are known for, let us show you why.

Long Overdue

What a year it has been! It seems like yesterday it was spring and we were starting our big senior portrait season and now it is almost December. We have had a crazy year, with lots of great clients to work with and then some curveballs that life just throws sometimes. The best news is two new wonderful grandchildren!  We want to thank everyone for being so patient with us as we have managed business and life through the year.

A highlight for us every year is photographing senior portraits. Early in the spring we photographed Haley’s outdoor senior portrait session and had so much fun with her. I hate that it took all summer to get back with her for her Senior Safari session to the north Georgia mountains and Downtown session in Winder. Haley loves going to the mountains and being outdoors. After high school she wants to go to UGA and major in biology. She is very involved in her school and when I went to the school one day I heard her sweet voice over the intercom making the morning announcements.

We had so much fun exploring in the mountains and then saying goodby for them to only drive further in the mountains, all the way to Pigeon Forge, just to eat supper and come home! Haley is a sweet, smart and a beautiful young lady. We have felt honored to have spent this time photographing her. Good luck next year Haley!!

Mothers Thoughts

When it comes to senior portraits it is always good to find out what past clients think.  We ask seniors and parents every year about what they thought about their session, the experience, what they might change if anything, and what comes to mind when they think about Bentley Photography.  For a parent it is good to hear another parent’s perspective, especially if you have never had a senior before.  This post is about Aidan’s experience with us this past summer and fall.  Aidan is a senior at Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula and an avid golfer.  We met him at the golf course and dodged balls, golfers and rain to get his portraits.  We barely made it to the car before the bottom fell out!

When we asked Aiden what made his experience different than what he had seen from other studios, he said that it was that we would come out to the golf course with him.  He also said that “it was a simply pleasurable experience”  and that his golf pictures was what he liked best.

So that brings us to his mom.  What did she think?  We started by asking how she felt about her child’s portrait session – “Loved it. Aidan felt very relaxed and you did a great job capturing his personality, especially on the golf course.  Those pictures far exceeded our expectations”.  How would you describe your experience with our staff – “Excellent. You both are so kind and calming.  We loved the way the pictures were selected.”  And last we asked how do you feel about the quality of your child’s portrait – “Excellent. I don’t think they could possibly get any better. A+++”

So there you have it! Don’t just take our word for it.  Listen to our past customers.

Mill Creek Thoughts

We have photographed Katherine for years and watched her grow up.  When high school got here of course things slowed down and we didn’t see her for a couple of years.  We were so honored when she called and booked her senior portrait session with us.  Katherine is about to graduate from Mill Creek High School so we thought we would ask her about her session.  We asked her to describe her session with us and she said it was – “fun, easy going, but still structured and efficient”.  So what did she see that she didn’t see in portraits from other studios – “attention to detail and comfortable posing”.  So what did she like best about your portraits from us – “the location and the natural editing”.  What would you change – “I wouldn’t change a thing”.  What comes to mind when you think about Bentley Photography – “classy, one of a kind and helpful”.  I think we can live with all of that!  If those things sound like things you think would be important to you give us a call and let’s see what we can create together.

Myles from FBHS

Myles is graduating from Flowery Branch High School this month, and we can’t believe it!  Not that we didn’t think he wouldn’t graduate, we have photographed him since he was really little.  We can’t believe we are getting so old!  Myles is the third sibling from his family we have had the pleasure of photographing for his senior portraits.  One thing about Myles that hasn’t changed since he was really young is his love for football.  Luckily for him his football days aren’t over yet.  Next year Myles will be heading off to Berry College to play football, and after that who knows where he might end up.

We couldn’t just post some of his senior portraits without showing a few from his younger years.  Snappy and handsome as ever.
