One Month Till Graduation!

Today it hit us!  One month from yesterday Apalachee will be having graduation ceremonies, which means one month from today WBHS will be have its graduation.  Our youngest will be graduating!  Graduation is early this year.  After realizing that both of our area high schools were having graduations in a month I did a quick check and found that everybody in surrounding counties will be graduating between May 16 and May 25 this year.  That means a lot of graduation trips are coming up.  It also means that it is time for the Class of 2014 to start doing senior their portraits!

Our senior magazine is hitting mail boxes and our phone has started ringing!  We mailed our magazine early this year since it is going to so many people — it's the largest senior mailing we have ever done!  The big problem these days is that the summer keeps getting shorter and shorter and the numbers of seniors keeps getting larger and larger.

Here are just a few of the Class of 2014 seniors that have already been…

What are you waiting for?

Natalie Class of 2014

6126hw_CX05 Rodriguez

Natalie is a WBHS class of 2014 senior that I have been photographing for cheer-leading for the last few years.  Natalie's dream job would be to be a fashion designer and if she could live anywhere she would want to live in Miami.

Her plans after high school are to attend NGCSU (North Georgia College and State University).

What is your favorite place to eat?  Fusion cafe

What music makes you sing out loud in the car?  Beyoncé

What store could you easily spend $5000 in?  Nordstrom!

What is something that you have always wanted to do? Go to Toronto, Canada (me too)

What is something that you can't live without?  Food, it's just too good!!

Favorite book?  Tuesdays with Morrie

When she comes back for more portraits this summer she wants to do the outdoor session.

Tell us about your session?  I was shy at first but Mr. Mike has his ways to get my goofy side out.  I felt very comfortable in what I was doing to get the best shots out.  I honestly couldn't make a serious face!  I was constantly laughing and smiling.  I could take my pictures there everyday and and do something crazy and exciting and feel so good about myself.  It has to be the greatest place to go and just feel amazing about yourself.  I walked out of those doors with a smile on my face every single time!

Meet Margaret from WBHS

2130_CX04 Petree
Margaret is in the class of 2014 and goes to Winder-Barrow High School.  Margaret is very involved in the band and has a lot of other interest that keep her very busy.  When talking about cars she isn't that specific, she just wants something new that doesn't rattle!

Margaret dreams of being self employed owning medical practice, she just isn't sure what she wants to practice yet.

When Margaret graduates she wants to attend the University of Georgia.

If she had a super power she would like to fly because why walk when you could fly?

When Margaret comes back for more portraits she wants to have a session at the farm.  "That's my happy place".  If she has spare time she is spending it there riding horses and she really wants to document that in her senior portraits.

Beach or Mountains? Mountains (me too)

Favorite time of the year?  Fall (me too)

What is your idea of a perfect day?  Any day I can ride my horse becomes a perfect day!

Favorite book?  Harry Potter, Lord of the RIngs and Hunger Games are a few of her favorites.

If you could meet anyone who would you want to meet?  "I would want to meet Jesus.  There are so many things that I would want to ask him!"

How was your session at Bentley Photography?  "Bentley Photography made my senior portrait session so special.  They told me before to bring things like clothes and props that I would want in my photos.  I literally moved in with them.  They were able to incorporate things that are important to me.  And on top of that I had so much fun!  I would go back to Bentley Photography any day!"

Why should seniors choose Bentley Photography?  "Bentley Photography takes a special interest in you.  They want to include the things that you love and the things that make you unique."

Now lets look at a few more of Margaret's portraits!

Meet Courtney From WBHS

0250_CX03 Bolden

A few weeks ago we photographed Courtney for her senior portraits and had a ball.  Courtney is a big 4-H girl, so much so that if she won the lottery she would donate a lot of the funds to the Georgia 4-H program!  I hope for the sake of 4-H she wins the lottery some day.  Oh, and then she would buy her parents their long awaited RV.  Always thinking of others 🙂

Want to know more about Courtney?  I did.

What are some of her favorite pastimes?  Guess!  She is the president of the Barrow county 4-H program.  She is on the judging team for for both poultry and forestry.  She also loves to go hiking… and shopping.

Dream car?  A bight red Jeep Wrangler with a convertible top.

Where do you want to live?  Paris, the city of romance, but she would also love living in good ole small town, USA.

Dream job? To be a book editor.  Reading books all day would be heaven!

When you come back this summer for another session what type session do you want to do?  The outdoor session.  I spend a lot of my time outdoors.

Where do you like to shop?  I love to shop in Athens, especially at Entourage and Gifts Off Milledge!

What is your favorite time of the year?  She got specific on this one too.  "I'd have to say… April 25th.  Because it's not too cold, and it's not too hot.  All you need is a light jacket! (A little Miss Congeniality humor there)."

If you could meet anyone who would it be?  Coco Chanel. She is the essential fashion icon and I could learn so much from her.

About her session?  "I loved having my pictures done at Bentley Photography!  It was such a comfortable experience and I loved all the creative ideas Mike brought to the table.  I normally hide from a camera, but Bentley's really made me feel like a supermodel!"

And if you haven't guessed yet.  Where do you want to go to college?  I hope to attend UGA and major in either Creative Writing/Journalism or Environmental Sciences/Ecology.
