WBHS Outdoor Senior Portraits

Everyone loves the outdoors, so what better place to have senior portraits made than outside. Having a specifically designed outdoor area for portraits is one of the great things about Bentley Photography. All the way back in 1990 we started with a blank slate and designed our outdoor areas specifically for portraits. Then about 15 years ago we were able to purchase the lot behind our studio and double our outdoor studio. Over the last few years we have added sets to give more variety and each year we change the look of the ones we already have.

Katelyn had her senior portraits taken in our outdoor studio area a few weeks ago and has some beautiful images from her session. Katelyn is in the Class of 2022 at Winder-Barrow High School where she is very involved in the student council, NHS Beta Club and Locket Club. She is a joy to be around and very positive and upbeat, spend some time with her and you come away just feeling better. After she graduates she wants to go into the healthcare field and be a nurse practitioner. Then maybe she can get a Jeep and spend time in the mountains – she is another one of those Jeep girls. If Katelyn could have a superpower she would want to read minds. Watch what you’re thinking around her! What would you want for a superpower if you could choose one?

Hebron Christian Academy Senior Portrait Session

Where to go? That is always the big question. Whether it is where to eat, where to shop, where to vacation or where to go to school. But when it comes to senior portraits there is no question about were to go – Bentley Photography, it’s the only choice! When we saw Malia she had just gotten an offer from the University of Colorado to play basketball for them. We later learned that she had chosen Rice University to play basketball on a scholarship. Whether it is basketball or volleyball, Melia is a force to be reckoned with. We heard from other seniors at other schools how much they admired her and her abilities both on and off the court. When it comes to school Melia is a history girl, not that into math – we could really relate to this.

We recently asked Melia to tell us about her session with us and these are a few things we learned.

How would you describe your session with us? “Comfortable and enjoyable. It felt like I had my own personal hype man with every picture I took. It was a very memorable experience.”

What would you say to next year’s seniors about getting their senior portraits done at Bentley’s? “You are guaranteed top quality pictures. There’s no doubt that you are getting what you pay for.”

If you could do your session over again, what, if anything, would you change? “I wouldn’t change a thing about my session, except maybe I wish I hadn’t fallen out of the hammock :).” We got a big laugh out of that one!

And what did her mother say about the quality of Malia’s portraits? “Great Quality!!! Nice options for backgrounds. Good options and choices of poses. Excellent experience – I would recommend.”

Winder-Barrow High School Senior Portraits

Logan made the first step into her senior year at WBHS by having her senior portraits taken at Bentley Photography. Logan saw her friend’s senior portraits from last year and wanted to have hers taken with us as well. You might remember her friend Madi’s post from last May, if not you can find it here. Logan was fun to talk to and get to know. We learned how the Covid shutdown opened up a new world for her and that she now loves reading books. We also learned that she would also like to read people’s minds, I don’t know what is wrong with these girls! And we also learned that she loves spending time with her friends and shopping. This past year she also enjoyed playing flag football on the first ever flag football team at WBHS. After high school she wants to go to college and someday be a teacher.

What’s This Thing I Got In The Mail??

How do you want to remember your senior year? How will you remember your senior portraits? Is quality important in your senior portraits, how about the experience? You might remember Amanda from one of our earlier posts about cheesy props and portraits. We have talked to her and her mother since that post about how they felt about some of those things. If you didn’t see the original post you can find it here, along with more about Amanda and see more of her images.

Just why would you choose Bentley Photography for your senior portraits over one of those big companies. For Amanda this came easy, her sisters came to us and she said she “liked the way their pictures turned out”. But what did you like about our photography that you didn’t see in portraits from other studios? “I liked the props and scenery, as well as it being outside instead of an indoor studio.” Not only do we have an outdoor studio and state of the art indoor studio we also go on location and to downtown Winder and Athens. How would you describe your session with us? “It was quick and fun. You guys also made me laugh and made good conversation.” What did you like best about your portraits? “I liked the poses you guys told me to do and the lighting was great as well.” What would you say to next years seniors about getting their senior portraits done at Bentley’s? “I would say that they should do it because it is a lot of fun and the pictures turn out great. You also have a lot to choose from.”

That’s all good and fine, but how did her mother feel about using Bentley Photography? “Our experience at Bentley Photography was a family affair. From booking the appointment to picking out the photos and the finished product. The photos are exceptional. My daughter and I were both pleased and we have received so many compliments. Chance and Mike are so genuine, charismatic and so full of humor. We were smiling the entire time. Mike asked my daughter questions throughout the session to get a better feel for what type of pictures he should take that reflected her personality.” Well, what else do you need to hear? Hebron Christian Academy Senior Portraits

Sophia is about to graduate!! Sophia is a senior at Hebron Christian Academy (HCA) where she has been enrolled since the fourth grade. She loves theater, preforming and singing, and she also enjoys hiking and reading in her spare time. After graduating HCA Sophia wants to pursue an BFA in theater performance as well as a degree in cyber security. We had a lot of fun photographing Sophia and talking to her. After the year had calmed down a little we got with her and her mom to ask a few questions about there experience with us. Here is a little from that.

What did you (Sophia) like best about your portraits? “The quality was immaculate and the various setting were absolutely stunning and looked great in the pictures.”

How was your session with us? “It was incredibly enjoyable. everyone was so kind, genuine, helpful and encouraging. Taking between pictures was very beneficial because it helped me feel more comfortable in front of the camera.”

What would you say to next year’s seniors about getting their senior portraits done at Bentley’s? “Enjoy every second of it and to overall have genuine fun. Also to not worry about appearing natural in the pictures because the session is so relaxed that it will happen inevitably.”

And then we asked her mother how she felt about the quality of Sophia’s senior portraits? “I had a very hard time picking which ones to purchase. They were all amazing.”
