Yesterday we had the privilege to photograph the Homecoming Court for Winder-Barrow High School.  This is something we have been doing for years, so many I can't even remember.  These images will be displayed at the school over the next few weeks to let everyone know just who everyone is on the court.  I have to say that every year, when we finish doing these, I make a comment about just how nice everyone is on the court.  This year was no exception because this was a great group of young people and I feel good about the future when I meet people like them.

All your life you have heard that you can be anything you want to be if you set your mind to it and work hard, haven't you?  However, just because you want something doesn't always mean you will get it.  You have to plan and work towards your goal early. Occupations like doctors, lawyers, scientists and others require awesome grades to get into the right college and program for that degree.  If you aren't applying yourself now and your grades are not what they should be you either need to find another goal or get busy getting those grades up.  Can you do anything you set your mind to?  Sure, you can.  That's what's so great about the human spirit. But you have to go in knowing it could be a fight and there are a lot of other people who want to be the best they can be as bad as you do. Praying, planning and action will get you moving in the right direction.

Last week we photographed Drake from Jackson County and he seems to be on the road to great things.  He has worked hard and will be graduating Valedictorian of his class from JCCHS and plans to attend Vanderbilt in the fall to eventually be a lawyer.  We wish him luck!
