Darius Goes West

Dear Friends,

I am a huge fan of a multi-award winning film called Darius Goes West,
and I think you will be, too. You can watch the entire film
at the link below for free.

I'm also competing for big prizes
in a sharing contest they are having on their site. I get points if you
watch the film, join my crew, and/or donate to the cause.

You can view the trailer and the entire movie here:

Here is a quick synopsis:
Accompanied by his eleven best friends, Darius Weems, a fifteen-year-old
living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, leaves home for the first time in his life.
This rowdy crew sets a course for California, where they hope to
convince MTV to customize Darius's wheelchair on the hit show, Pimp My Ride. They unkowingly leave a nation-wide
grassroots movement in their wake.

This movie is hilarious, exciting, and extremely important. It
has been covered by everyone from Ellen and The Today Show to Nightline
and CNN. I hope you enjoy it as much as I an so many others have. Thank
you so much!

Sincerely,

Mike Bentley

Time To Apply For College!

Now is the time to get those college applications in!  October is the month to get in for early admissions and a great time to go for college visits.  If you haven't taken the SAT yet you had better get on it!  I know a lot of people that are making visits this week.  Go out and have some fun and visit some schools.

Yesterday we had a little bit of everything in the studio from babies and children up to seniors.  We went on location for a few shots late yesterday afternoon and I am posting a few shots here.

Georgia Square Mall

We have been working for the last month or two on a display at Georgia
Square Mall and finally we got it installed this morning.  We are on
the upper lever outside Belk going towards Hollister.  If you are in
Athens shopping be sure and check it out.

Fall Is Officially Here

As of last week the season finally changed, and as of this week the weather did too.  I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves and the sports that come with this time of year.  Trips to the mountains with stops for boiled peanuts are always another thing we enjoy.  But, Fall is also a busy time of year and we don't get to do some of those things we always look forward to.  Competition cheerleading season starts as well as football season and at our studio Santa even comes in October.  So over the last few weeks we have been photographing a lot of cheerleaders, homecoming photos and gymnastics teams.  Senior portraits are still happening, and it is a great time for them, and we are seeing more families and babies than in the summer months.

Anyway, this is from Jeff's senior portrait session this past weekend.

Fall Portraits

The leaves are already starting to change!  Seems very early to me, but it made me think that I need to let everyone know about what a great time it is for outdoor portraits.  Last year we did some of my favorite outdoor senior portraits in the fall with the beautiful leaves in the background.  The problem is that you are back in school now and the times are limited.  We have several locations for beautiful outdoor portraits so give us a call and let us find a time and location to make your senior portrait really special.
