Senior Tells About Senior Portrait Experience

Do you ever wonder if everything a photographer says about themselves and their studio is what the senior thinks?  A lot of people will say anything to get you to use them, but when you hear it directly from a senior customer it carries more weight.  We ask seniors about how the experience was for them at Bentley Photography and here is what Josh, from the WBHS class of 2017, had to say.

My session was relaxed… the thing I liked best was the variety of poses you did to make mine different from everyone else.  I wouldn’t have changed a thing about my session if I were to do it over again.  I would recommend going to Bentley’s, they allow you to have different sessions and a variety of poses to get the best senior pictures. – Josh Nerroth

And what do senior parents think about going to Bentley Photography over the school’s photographer?  This is what Josh’s mom had to say about that.

Our experience was awesome!  I loved that we were not rushed and that we were allowed to enjoy the moments of my son being a senior.  The school photographer was not as personable. We felt like everything was done in a hurry.  The quality of the pictures are wonderful.  Bentleys really brought out my son’s personality in each one.  Everything from start to finish was perfect. – Josh’s mom

Sounds like Bentley Photography is the place to go for a fun and relaxed session where your personality comes out to shine in your senior portraits.  If that is what you want in your senior portraits give us a call and let us show you “the Bentley difference”.

Senior Model Planning

It’s January. Winter.  The Class of 2018 or 2019 is not really thinking about their senior portraits.  But for us at Bentley’s, it’s ALL we’re thinking about!  After the family portraits are taken and delivered, Santa has come and gone and everything that had to be delivered for Christmas has been picked up, we take a little break and then we get down to business planning our next year.  While the winter months are NOT big photo times because, let’s face it, Georgia winters are wet, windy and gross with a few unexpected sunny warm days thrown in, because you know, Georgia.  She’s a tease like that.  It is THE PERFECT time for us to look at our last year, see where to improve and what to change.  Something everyone should do.  I mean, we all want to be better at whatever we do, right?  Now is the time that we are looking for our Bentley Team Models and planning some really fun shoots for them.  If you are in the Class of 2019 and you are a good person, you don’t rob banks, do drugs or hate on people then you may apply here.  We prefer to work with nice people not mean people.

So what do Bentley Team Models get to do?  Well, basically they are our guinea pigs for new photoshoots, backgrounds and ideas that we want to try and possibly incorporate into our senior portraits.  We have done all kinds of things like our Funky Fashion shoot with crazy makeup and clothes, out of town locations to get out of the Winder scene and we’ve worked with fire and water to create really unique sets. We’ve had people lay upside down on cars, in streets, allies and loading docks.  We’ve fought the maddening crowds of the Atlanta Beltway and the crazy traffic on I-85 to get where we wanted to be for the perfect location. In the end, some things worked and some didn’t but EVERYONE always has a GOOD TIME!! AND they have some pretty awesome senior portraits like no one else to show for it!  So join our team!  Is it going to cost a little bit of money?  Yes. You think all of that happens for free?  Life ain’t free kids. But as a model there are some pretty cool perks that no one else gets as a regular customer like free sessions, free stuff and the opportunity to earn cash by working for Bentleys at special events!

OK- so we are planning some pretty awesome stuff for our Class of 2019!  What are you planning to do about it?

Lanier High School – Kayla

Kayla lives in Sugar Hill and attends Lanier High School.  This pretty redhead is an outgoing girl who is very fun to be around!  If she could have any superpower she would want to be a healer. Good to know during this cold and flu season!  That also comes through when you ask her what she wants to do after high school, she says she wants to study medicine.  For Kayla’s senior portraits she chose the Outdoor session and our Road Trip session to a field where we photographed some of these images.

Karli – WBHS Senior Portraits

Karli is a senior at WBHS this year.  After high school Karli wants to attend a college like Kennesaw State to study education and her dream is to be an elementary school principal.  If you ask her  about her idea of a perfect day she would tell you that it would be relaxing at the beach with friends and eating Chick-fil-A, and the last time we saw Karli she was at Chick-fil-A with her friends.  Softball is a big part of her life right now so we had to incorporate something from that into her senior portraits.  Karli was a blast to photograph and talk to and we wish her all the best next year wherever she might end up.

Johnson High School

MaKayla is a senior at Johnson High School and came to us for her senior portraits earlier this summer.  She chose to do an Outdoor session for her senior portraits.  After high school she wants to go to UGA and then go on to medical school.  If she could have any super power she would want to be a healer.  And when we asked her what she would do if she won the lottery she said she would donate money to cancer research.  In her senior portraits she wanted to show her necklace that had her fathers senior class ring on it in his memory.

MaKayla, we are sure you will one day be an amazing doctor and wish you all the best in your journey.
