Friendly and Professional

As Robert was graduating from Winder-Barrow High School we were looking back over some of his images.  Then we started reading what he had to say about the differences between having senior portraits made with us.  It seems like there is a big… no… huge difference in the senior portrait experience between us and his school photographers.  We asked why he came to our studio for his senior portraits.  “The other people were not good, you included actual scenes not green screens or sets.  You had actual outdoor spaces.”  What did you like best about your portraits from us?  “Just looked better, overall more appealing.”  What would you tell next year’s seniors about getting their senior portraits done at Bentley’s?  “Worth it.  The schools chosen photographer was not as friendly or professional.”

And what did Robert’s mom have to say?  How would you say your experience at Bentley Photography was different than your experience with the school photographer?  “It felt more personal and I did not feel like we were rushed.”  How do you feel about the quality of your child’s portraits?  “They are excellent.”  Anything else you would like to say?  “Bentley is synonymous with senior photos in Barrow county.  They are a Winder institution.  It’s tradition to have your photos taken here.”

I think that just about says it all!  Why would you choose to go anywhere else.

These are a few from Robert’s outdoor and downtown sessions.

Senior Portraits

WB Diamond Darling

Shelby is a breath of sunshine on a cloudy day.  Her outgoing and bubbly personality is contagious.  She is a senior this year at Winder-Barrow High School where she cheers, is in the Locket club, Best Buddies and is the president of the Diamond Darlings.  Shelby loves going to the lake and spending time on a boat, or being pulled behind it on a tube.  After she graduates she wants to attend Georgia College and State University and study to be a teacher.  One great thing about that school is that there is a lake close by!

Look her up and see what she has to say about her session with us.  Compare that to what people say about other photographers and make the smart choice.  We would love to see you!

These are just a few images from Shelby’s outdoor session with us.

HCA Senior Baseball Player

We touched base with Hunter just before graduation to check in on how he and his mom felt about his senior portrait session with us.  Hunter played the drums and baseball at Hebron Christian Academy and had a small business on the side.  After graduating he wants to become a firefighter and EMT.  Hunter is a man of few words, but when you found a common interest he was a lot of fun to talk to.  When we asked what he liked best about his session he said he liked the different poses with the backgrounds and being able to use his truck and dog.  And then we asked his mom how she felt about his session.   She said, “the session was great.  Plenty of time to take many photos with different backgrounds.  the quality was excellent and the staff was helpful with selecting the right photos and package that we needed.”

And for the most important thing to remember Hunter said – “Bentley’s will do a great job with portraits and you will be happy.”

These are just a few from Hunter’s outdoor session with us.

What’s The Difference

School pictures, senior portraits … I’ll just go to whoever, what’s the difference?  I have a friend I can just let use my iPhone, my uncle has a camera. Choose your reason – we have heard it all.  Most places aren’t going to spend any time with you to make things perfect.  Many school photography companies just don’t have the time or staff to spend with you as they should.  So what is the big difference?  At Bentley Photography we take the time to make sure you look good, and are comfortable.  If you are having fun and feel good it shows in your portraits.  And we have all heard horror stories about the long wait and unprofessional photographers that make you feel like just another number.  Some of those companies have photographers that aren’t any older than you with no formal training photographing senior portraits.  At Bentley Photography it isn’t like that.  We only have Certified Professional Photographers on our staff doing senior portraits, nobody in the area can say that.  We strive to make your session with us memorable, because you are only a senior once!  Or as a senior recently told us “hopefully” this once!

Ema Clair knows how to dress for the part and she definitely knows where to go to have her senior portraits taken.  Ema Clair is a senior at Winder-Barrow High School this year where she is involved in a lot of different activities.  When she isn’t playing volleyball or tennis she makes time for NHS, Beta Club, student council, Locket Club, FCA, Science NHS, Mu Alpha Theta and Diamond Darlings.  She is also taking classes at the University of Georgia already.  With all of that I don’t know how she has time for high school!  We are so glad she found the time to come let us photograph her senior portraits.  We photographed Ema Clair when she was a child and with her dance friends when she was young and have loved watching her grow up.  This is one smart, outgoing and determined young lady that has her head on her shoulders.  After high school Ema Clair wants to go to college and study biology and who knows what will come after that.

These are just a few from Ema Clair’s outdoor session we did recently, stay tuned to see some from her beach session!

Golfing Dragon

Charlie is a senior at Jefferson High School this year, where he plays golf.  Golf is a pretty big part of Charlie’s life, so much so he dreams of being a golf course designer.  Charlie also dreams of someday playing golf at Augusta National.  After high school he wants to go to college and hopefully play baseball, so golf isn’t his entire life.  In addition to golf and baseball he plays on the JHS varsity basketball team.  I really don’t know how he has time to do anything else, but having a good time and making people laugh comes in right after all of his sports. We had a blast with Charlie! He is so personable and fun to talk too!  We can’t wait to see him for his other sessions.

These are just a few images from Charlie’s outdoor session at our studio.
