Senior Portraits – Softball

Douglasville, Georgia, Harvester Christian Academy

A few weeks ago Hannah’s dad contacted us about doing her senior portraits and he wanted them to be centered around softball.  Hannah has been a softball player for so much of her life it was only natural to have it be part of her senior portraits.  They found us on the internet and drove over from Douglasville, where she is a senior at Harvester Christian Academy, for her session.  Hannah will be playing softball at LaGrange College next year and plans to be a nurse after she graduates.  When we started talking about television we found another Dexter lover!  Hannah also likes to read and wants to travel the world.  Good luck both on and off the field next year Hannah!

Near the end of Hannah’s session we took her back to the studio from the softball fields for some shots of her hitting the ball.  It was late in the day and perfect for her to show us just how hard she can hit.  Lucky for me we had a fence that I could get behind so that I wouldn’t get hit by the ball, or any pieces of it!

A lot of times we talk about school photographers and the difference in our sessions from the ones they offer.  I want you to know that we have nothing against school photographers, we photograph schools too, but coming to us for your senior portraits is something totally different.  When you come to us for a senior portrait session it is all about you and making your session and portraits unique.  There is no way the school photographer can spend an our or two, or even more doing your senior portraits.  Most schools have hundreds of seniors and there just isn’t enough time to be able to offer each and every senior the individual attention that would be needed.  The school pictures are great for some people, but if you want something different and more catered to just you then call us.  Your senior year only happens once and you are out and off to other things – don’t let it pass you by without the best senior portrait experience and senior portraits.

Guitar – Senior Portraits

Bentley Photography, senior portrait photographer

Logan is a senior at Winder – Barrow High School and for his senior portraits he wanted his guitar and soccer ball in some of them.  Logan likes to play the guitar, cook and eat.  I like to listen to the guitar and eat so we had a few things in common right off the bat!  Logan also likes to do woodwork with his uncle in North Carolina.  After high school he wants to travel for a year and then attend college.  Logan’s dream job would be to own his own restaurant and live in Alaska.  His idea of a perfect day would be to travel to the mountains and spend a day with his grandparents and fish.  All in all I think I could hang out with Logan for a few days.  Good luck next year Logan, and send us a few postcards!

As you can see on our blog and webpage we photograph real seniors from all over Georgia that want something different.  We love to show a little of your personality in your portraits when we can.  A lot of sites have post after post about “Senior Spokesmodel _________” from here and there.  After looking at the sites it seems like everyone is a “Senior Spokesmodel” and they keep reappearing on the site.  Where are the real senior customers?  Where are the people like you?  Sometimes I wonder if there are any “real” seniors that get photographed by them.  Don’t get me wrong, we have senior models too – but we try to show a little from everything we photograph and not just them.

Senior Portraits in Athens – Emi from Brookwood High School

senior photographer, Athens, Winder, GA

Recently I told you about this being the year of the twin, Emi is one of them.  Emi came to us for her senior portraits from Brookwood High School in Snellville, GA.  We took Emi to Athens for her senior portrait session and had lots of fun talking to her.  Emi swims at her school and for Swim Atlanta, she loves shopping and likes to eat.  She isn’t sure what she wants to do after college yet, but she does know that she wants to travel and would love to travel the world and give reviews on cool places to stay.  She already gave me some ideas on places to go eat!

What are your plans for after high school?  What do you like to do, or what are you involved in?  Does your photographer know any of those things, or anything else about you?  When we do senior portraits we try to get to know you.  Your senior portrait session should be about you, and we don’t think you should be treated just like another number.  While we know that the senior pictures taken at the school are just fine for some people, there are some of us out there that want something better.  Are you one of those people?  If  you are, you need to get to know us a little better.  We would love to do your senior portraits and show you the Bentley difference.

Senior Portraits – Dalton from WBHS

Bentley Photography

We did Dalton’s senior portraits outdoors and in downtown Winder.  Dalton is a lover of old country music who likes playing video games, wakeboarding, wrestling and football.  After he graduates from WBHS next summer he plans on joining the military and hopes to someday be a physician’s assistant.  Dalton and I have a few things in common, we both enjoy spending time on the lake and eating Mexican food.  I had a lot of fun talking to Dalton and getting to know him better.  Good luck next year Dalton.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been doing a lot of senior portraits and now is a great time to have yours taken.  Fall is a lot cooler and less hectic than a lot of other times of the year.  If you still need to get your senior portraits taken, or would like to have some that you like better than the ones you already got done, now is a great time.  Give us a call and lets talk about ways to make your senior portrait special and show who you are.
